The Essential Guide to Candle Care
A Sukora candle is designed for an intentional burn. To get the most out of your handcrafted piece, follow these simple rituals for a cleaner, longer-lasting fragrance experience.

1. The First Burn is Key
When you light your Sukora candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax melts all the way to the edges of the vessel. This is called a "memory burn" and prevents tunneling, ensuring you use every drop of wax.
2. Trim Your Wick
Always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each lighting. A trimmed wick ensures a clean, steady flame and prevents soot from forming on your beautiful vessel.
3. Mind the Time
Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This prevents the vessel from getting too hot and maintains the integrity of the fragrance oils.
4. Safety First
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place it on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
